The Yemeni government has declared a state of emergency in the health sector in the governorates of Abyan, Aden, Lahj, Dali'a and Shabwa, and they activated the surveillance of the epidemic and demanded the quick reporting of disease cases by civilians. The World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF also reported that the number of cholera cases recorded in Yemen has risen to 200,000
